Redesigning a crypto trading platform for smarter decisions
Lucra was evolving beyond its original role as a functional trade tracker. The product needed to support a broader trading workflow — helping users understand portfolio performance, evaluate opportunities, manage trades, and act on live signals without moving between disconnected tools.
Our role was to rethink the UX, information architecture, data visualization, and visual system while creating a scalable foundation for new product functionality.

Closing the UI gap with trusted trading platforms
Trading products naturally contain a lot of information. Performance metrics, open positions, P&L, risk calculations, alerts, trade history, portfolio data, and market activity all compete for attention. The challenge was to make this information easier to interpret without oversimplifying the product for experienced traders. At the same time, Lucra needed to move away from familiar component-library patterns and establish a more distinctive identity of its own.
Turning a functional product into a competitive trading experience
We reorganized the experience around the actions traders perform most often. Portfolio performance became easier to understand through focused dashboards and data visualization. Core actions such as Create Trade were given stronger visibility. Live Discord alerts became actionable entry points rather than passive notifications.
The result connects opportunity discovery, risk evaluation, trade creation, and performance review within the same product logic.

Rebuilding Lucra From Product Structure to Final UI
The redesign started before visual styling. We first worked through the platform structure, user journeys, functional states, and data relationships. This allowed the visual system to grow from the actual trading workflows rather than being applied as a cosmetic layer afterwards.
Discovery & Stakeholder Interview
We analysed Lucra’s original screens to identify structural issues, missing data, and visual inconsistencies that limited the product’s clarity and scalability.

Informational Architecture
We mapped and reorganised Lucra’s key user flows to reduce complexity, improve access to core actions, and build a clearer structure across login, dashboard, portfolio, and trading screens.

Wireframing
We translated the updated product structure into detailed wireframes, shaping dashboard layouts, data hierarchy, and key trading flows.

UI Research
We compared trusted crypto and trading products to identify the visual and interaction patterns that should guide Lucra’s next UI direction.

UI Concept Iteration 1
The first concept followed the original light-mode roadmap, keeping the interface familiar and launch-ready. User feedback later revealed that traders expected a darker, more data-dense experience.

UI Concept Iteration 2
User feedback and competitor research led us to a darker, more data-dense interface with stronger chart visibility and faster access to key actions. The result felt native to trading, but still lacked a distinctive brand identity.

Brand Guidelines
With the dark UI direction established, we developed a dedicated brand layer covering the logo, typography, colour system, motion, and reusable visual patterns. This gave Lucra a recognisable identity and a scalable foundation for the final product experience.

«From Functional to Distinctive»
The redesign gives Lucra a stronger foundation for a more mature trading product. Account and portfolio dashboards, trade management, alerts, risk tools, calendar views, and performance analytics now share a clearer interaction and visual system. We created reusable patterns that allow new functionality to become part of the same product experience.

The goal wasn’t to make trading data look simpler than it is. It was to give every piece of information a clearer purpose so traders can move from signal to decision without losing context.
